Why in Bayern? [28 jun 2015]

I see Otterberg named as a place in Bayern, where the Wikipedia text clearly states Rheinland-Pfaltz, which is two states (Länder) away. I don't see anywhere that it ever was part of Bayern. Shouldn't this just be changed to Rhineland Palatinate?--Edwin 15:31, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

Got it from [1] that this is the 1900 convention again. After the German unification in 1871, Rheinpfalz, including Kaiserslautern (that inludes Otterberg) was considered Bavarian (where the other half of Rheinland Pfalz was considered Prussia).

Consider this disussion closed as far as I'm concerned. It is only another example of eyebrows that can be raised by the 1900 convention.--Edwin 12:40, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
