A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Wormelow Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
"WORMELOW, a hundred in the S of Hereford[shire]; containing 32 parishes and a part; and cut into two divisions: Lower and Upper. Acres: 39,744 and 26,430. Population in 1851: 6,586 and 4,588; in 1861: 11,667. Houses: 2,499."
