Witheridge Hundred is a large hundred, in the northeastern-central area of Devon, England, stretching from Tiverton to South Molton, but each of these towns were in different hundreds. It is #31 on the map.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following statistics for Witheridge Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "WITHERIDGE, a village, a parish, a [registration] sub-district, and a hundred, in Devon. The village stands 7 miles ENE of Lapford [railway] station, and 8 E of Chulmleigh....The hundred contains 21 parishes. Acres: 79,797. Population: 10,144. Houses: 2,062."
GENUKI provides a longer description from White's History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Devonshire of 1850.
