Wath Rural District was an administrative division of the North Riding of Yorkshire based on the village of Wath (near Ripon) which was in existence from 1894 until 1974. Since the municipal reorganization of 1974, the area covered by Wath Rural District has been located in the administrative District of Harrogate District, North Yorkshire.

It was a relatively small rural district comprising only 17,000 acres (6,880 hectares or 26.5 sq mi), surrounded on the north by Bedale Rural District, on east and south by Thirsk Rural District, and on the west by Ripon and Pateley Bridge Rural District which until 1974 was part of the West Riding of Yorkshire.
