Waits Cemetery was established next to Waits Methodist Episcopal Church on lands known at the time as 'Waits Settlement', and which later became known as 'Waits'. It is situated just to the east of the corner of Waits Road and Waites Road in Tioga County, New York on lands once owned by Henry Wait (1764-1858)
