Slavonice is a town in Jindřichův Hradec District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,300 inhabitants. It lies on the Austrian border in the historical land of Moravia, despite administratively being a part of the South Bohemian Region. The town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument reservation.
