Shebbear Hundred covered a number of parishes in northwest Devon in the vicinity of the town of Bideford. It is #23 on the map.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following statistics of Shebbear Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "SHEBBEAR, a village, a parish, a [registration] sub-district, and a hundred, in Devon. The hundred contains 26 parishes. Acres: 73,250. Population in 1851: 16,064; in 1861: 15,726." Houses: 3,194."
GENUKI provides a longer description from White's History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Devonshire of 1850.
