Ramagundam city is Municipal corporation and Mandal in the Karimnagar district of Northern region in the state of Telangana in India.

Ramagundam is known as City of Energy. It is located on the banks of Godavari River about north east of state capital, Hyderabad. It has a population of 252,693

The town of Ramagundam gets its name from a combination of two words: (Rama + Gundam). A famous temple of the Hindu God Lord Rama is situated in the old part of the town and 'Gundam' means Water Springs. Ramagundam city is Adjacent to Godavarikhani city.
