1762 - Queens county is established in the English province of Nova Scotia by combining the townships of Liverpool, Barrington and Yarmouth with their intermediate lands and some lands from Lunenburg county.

1784/85 - Queens county is divided to form Shelburne County in the southwestern part.

1867 - Queens county is located in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia after the formation of the country of Canada.
