Newtown is a census-designated place (CDP) in Reilly Township, Schuylkill County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1828, and the first permanent dwelling was built in 1846 by John Bettinger, a native of the Saarland, Germany. The population was 244 at the 2000 census. [edit] Research Tips
