A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Munslow Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "The hundred contains twenty-seven parishes, and parts of two others; and is cut into two divisions: Lower and Upper. Acres of the [Lower division]: 55,466. Population in 1851: 7,739. Houses: 1,489. Acres of the [Upper division]: 33,919. Population in 1851: 4,153. Houses: 775. Population of both [divisions] in 1861: 10,978. Houses: 2,166."
Munslow Hundred is located in the southern part of Shropshire, England. It is bounded on the north by Condover Hundred, on the east by the Wenlock Franchise and Overs Hundred, on the south by Herefordshire, and on the west by Purslow Hundred. It contains the towns of Church Stretton and Ludlow. A map of Shropshire's ancient divisions named "hundreds" is to be found in A Vision of Britain through Time.
Wikipedia gives a short account of the evolution of all the hundreds of Shropshire.
