Manchester Township was formed from portions of Saddle River Township, Bergen County, New Jersey as a part of the 1837 formation of Passaic County. Around the turn of the 20th century it was subdivided into boroughs and portions were incorporated into Paterson City, and the township no longer exists. The boroughs formed from Manchester Township were the following:
A high school in the area, Manchester Regional High School, preserves the name. |
