Llanfair Kilgeddin (Welsh: Llanfair Cilgedin) is a small village in Monmouthshire, in southeast Wales. It is located four miles northwest of Usk and six miles southeast of Abergavenny on the B4598 road. The River Usk passes close by.
A Norman motte and bailey castle site remains near the village. The parish church, Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Llanfair Kilgeddin, is located about 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the village. Pant-y-Goitre House is a Grade II listed country house thought to date from c.1776.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Llanfair Kilgeddin from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "LLANVAIR-KILGIDIN, a parish in Abergavenny [registration] district, Monmouth[shire]; on the river Usk, 2½ miles NE by N of Nantyderry [railway] station, and 5½ SE of Abergavenny. Post town: Abergavenny. Acres: 1,801. Real property: £2,824. Population: 296. Houses: 59. The property is divided among a few. A suspension bridge for foot passengers here spans the Usk. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Llandaff. Value: £395. Patron: Lord Tredegar. The church is good. Charities, £9."
In 1935, in a move to reduce the number of parishes within Abergavenny Rural District, Llanfair Kilgeddin was absorbed into the civil parish of Llanover Fawr.
