Llanaber is a linear village in northwest Wales, near the resort of Barmouth. It is situated on the coast between Talybont and Barmouth, 1 km north of Barmouth on the A496 road. The Irish Sea lies directly to the west and the Rhiniog mountains lie directly to the east.

Llanaber was a parish in Dolgellau Rural District in the historic county of Merionethshire between 1894 and 1974.
