Litchfield is a linear village in the English county of Hampshire. It is closely bypassed by the A34 trunk road between Newbury and Whitchurch, which follows the course of the former Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway. Litchfield railway station, which closed in 1960, was on this line.
The village (formerly a separate civil parish) has been part of the civil parish of Litchfield and Woodcott since 1932 and, since 1974, is part of the Burghclere, Highclere and St. Mary Bourne ward of Basingstoke and Deane borough council.
