Jackson Family Cemetery - Update to Volume I, Fairfax County, Virginia Gravestones
The Jackson house at 1157 Swinks Mill Road (Route 685) was built sometime between 1698 and 1750, according to a 1971 Historic American Buildings Survey Inventory of the old house. When the Jacksons sold the land to the Cutts family in 1843, the deed reserved a quarter-acre plot as a family cemetery.

The Jackson Family Cemetery was surveyed in 1918, 1992, 1994 and 1999. The site is surrounded by a new, wooden fence and is beautifully maintained. The property owner, a Jackson family descendant, has erected two memorial obelisks across the graveyard from the marked burials. (6 burials)
