Heiton is a village in the former parish of Roxburgh, Heiton lies 2½ miles (4 km) south southwest of Kelso. Nearby are a championship golf course created in the 1990s and Sunlaws House, now a hotel, built by the Dukes of Roxburgh in the 1890s.
