Hayridge Hundred was located in what is now the Mid Devon District between Exeter and the border with Somerset. The hundred is #15 on the map.
A map of Hayridge Hundred circa 1765 is available in Wikimedia Commons. It is very clear but too large to upload to WeRelate. Note that Hayridge was spelled "Highridge" on the map.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Hayridge Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1871-72:
- "HAYRIDGE, a hundred in Devon; bounded by the hundreds of Tiverton, Halberton, Hemyock, Cliston, E. Budleigh, and W. Budleigh. It contains Bickleigh parish, fifteen other parishes, and part of another. Acres: 46,528. Population in 1851: 13,629; in 1861: 12,413. Houses: 2,637."
GENUKI provides a description from White's History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Devonshire of 1850.
