Hartismere Rural District was a rural district in the administrative county of East Suffolk, England and the historic county of Suffolk, England from 1894 until 1974. It was expanded in 1934 by merging with the disbanded Hoxne Rural District with a slight readjustment of boundaries. It was named after the ancient Hundred of Hartismere and administered from the town of Eye.

On 1 April 1974 the rural district was abolished following the regulations of the Local Government Act 1972 and was absorbed into the new District of Mid Suffolk. At the same time the administrative county of East Suffolk was abolished and Mid Suffolk is simply a district of Suffolk, England.
