Hackforth (#13 on map) is a civil parish and a small village in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England, about 4 miles (6 km) north of Bedale (#3). Nearby settlements include Langthorne (#18) and Crakehall (#8).
Prior to the nationwide municipal reorganization of 1974, Hackforth was part of Bedale Rural District. Historically, it was located in the ancient and ecclesiastical parish of Hornby (in Leyburn RD) in the wapentake of Hang East.
