A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Greytree Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "GREYTREE, a hundred in Hereford; in the SE of the county; containing Ashton Ingham parish, fifteen other parishes, and parts of two others. Acres: 46,822. Population: 13,882. houses: 2,878."
If the original map on which this sketch is based is blown up to a much higher magnification, you will find it includes many places in Herefordshire discussed on these pages. The rivers and ranges of hills are also shown.
