In 1935 the civil parish of Folksworth and Washingley was formed from the individual civil parishes of Folksworth and Washingley.

From 1935 until 1965 the civil parish was located in the County of Huntingdonshire near Morborne west of Yaxley. After mergers in 1965 and 1974 the county became part of Cambridgeshire.

Volume 1 is a part-volume describing the religious houses of the county.
