A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Felkington from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "FELKINGTON, or Filkington, a township in Norham parish, Northumberland; 6½ miles SSW of Berwick-upon-Tweed. It includes Grievestead. Acres: 1,431. Population: 122. Houses: 24."
Felkington was a township in the ancient parish of Norhamshire within the county of Durham until 1844 and subsequently in Northumberland. It became a separate civil parish in 1866. From 1894 until 1955 it was part of Norham and Islandshires Rural District. In 1955 Felkington was absorbed into the parish of Duddo.
