Earlston is a village in the former county of Berwickshire, now located in the Scottish Borders. It is situated the east of the Leader Water, 3 miles (5 km) north of Newtown St. Boswells.

Earlston was created a burgh of barony in 1489 and its peel tower dates from the 16th century. An earlier tower and estate were owned by the 13th-century seer Thomas Learmont of Ercildoune (Earlston), or Thomas the Rhymer.

Modern industries include the manufacture of textiles and farm machinery.
