Dysart parish was abolished in 1901 to create the combined parish of Kirkcaldy & Dysart. The parish of Dysart consisted of the royal burgh of Dysart and surrounding areas, including Alum Well, Gallatown, Ravenscraig, Sinclairtown, and Redford.
