Located inGlamorgan, Wales

Dinas Powys Hundred is a coastal area between Kibbor Hundred (or the Cardiff area) and Cowbridge Hundred. Most of its parishes would be in the Vale of Glamorgan principal area today, but some are in Cardiff (principa area).

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Dinas Powys Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"DINAS POWYS HUNDRED lies around the village [of the same name]; and contains twenty-seven parishes. Acres: 40,601. Population: 7,661. Houses: 1,434.

GENUKI provides a map from 'Historic Parishes of England and Wales - Boundaries before 1850' to which the boundaries of the hundreds have been superimposed. Dates are those for earliest parish registers. (Full source notes for the original map on the GENUKI page.)
