Crediton Hundred is one of the hundreds of Devon, situated to the centre of the county, northwest of Exeter and covering the town of Crediton and surrounding parishes. It is #8 on the map.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Crediton Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1871-72:
- "CREDITON, a town, two tythings, a parish, a [registration] sub-district, a [registration] district, and a hundred in Devon....The hundred contains seven parishes. Acres: 37,216. Population: 11,233. Houses: 2,454."
GENUKI provides a further description from White's History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Devonshire of 1850.
