Caister on Sea, also known colloquially as Caister or Caister-on-Sea, is a settlement in Norfolk in England, close to the large town of Great Yarmouth. It is a seaside resort and busy holiday destination. At the 2001 UK census it had a population of 8,756 and 3,970 households, the population increasing to 8,901 at the 2011 UK census. It used to be served by Caister on Sea railway station.

Caister on Sea was created in 1935 out of the two parishes of East Caister and West Caister which both had only been formed in 1926 from the original parish of Caister next Yarmouth. Also in 1935 East and West Flegg Rural District was abolished and replaced by Blofield and Flegg Rural District which covered a wider area.

Because Caister on Sea and its immediate forerunners were not formed until the 20th century, most genealogical references for the parish area will be found under the former municipality of Caister next Yarmouth.
