History

Bobo Station or just Bobo obtained it's name from a late arriving pioneer family to the area Arvi Joseph Bobo. The Bobo family migrated to the area from Ohio about 1888' Arvi worked as a Farmer, General store owner and postmaster. He farmed in a modest way, and, having been a small merchant in Ohio, he opened a general store in the community of Bobo, Alabama which was named after him. He dealt some in fertilizer, and may have served for a time as postmaster.
