Alderbury Hundred is located in the southeast corner of the county of Wiltshire. The City of Salisbury is in its northeast corner. The hundred is divided in two with Frustfield Hundred in between the two sections. The southern section was composed of the parish of Plaitford and the extra parochial area of Melchet Park which were transferred to Hampshire in 1895. See Map of the Hundreds of Wiltshire, 1832, a map from HMSO Boundary Commissioners, dated 1832, provided by A Vision of Britain through Time.
