Agglethorpe is a hamlet in the English county of North Yorkshire. It is known as Aculestorp in the Domesday Book.

In 1870–72 John Marius Wilson of the Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Agglethorpe as:

A joint township with Coverham, in Coverham parish, W. R. Yorkshire.

Prior to the nationwide municipal reorganization of 1974, Agglethorpe was located in Leyburn Rural District. Historically, it was located in the ecclesiastical parish of Coverham in the Hang West Wapentake.
