Is William Scott father of William H. Scott? [21 November 2012]

Finding the father of William H. Scott has been a major brick wall for many family researchers for 30-40 years. The identification of William Scott as his father is recent, tentative, and problematic.

Current strategy:
1) Find any record that would provide a link between the two by following other, known, members of William Scott's family.
2) Find a link between William Scott and DNA matches with William H. Scott in North Carolina/Georgia .
