Do not merge this page with Person:William Averell (1). - Early 20th century research assumed that William Averill, son of Nicholas and Dorcas of Ashe (near Farningham), Kent was the immigrant to Massachusetts. A later supplement to the book which made this assertion (Averell-Averill-Avery family ...) corrected this assumption.
