Emigration [31 July 2015]

According to a few Ancestry trees, Tjeerd and Trijntje emigrated to Amelia County, Virginia, where he passed away 6 Mar 1881. She married Meindert Johannes Zuidema. He passed away 17 Sep 1884; she passed away 7 Dec 1923. Can any of this be confirmed with civil records?

We have FindAGrave entries for all three:

• Tjeerd Aukes Leistra
• M. Zuidema
• Katherine DeJong Zuidema

(A smaller number of trees, some rather garbled, also have Meindert's second wife Grietje Veldman passing away in Amelia County. She has no FindAGrave entry.)
