[add comment] [edit] Death place of Finsbury Park [1 November 2019]I have taken the liberty to alter the place of death of Thomas Boulton because Finsbury Park is causing difficulties in our database of places. Finsbury Park was never in Finsbury, but was several miles to the north (see the article on Finsbury Park in Wikipedia), but all references to Finsbury (which became a fully-fledged metropolitan borough between 1900 and 1965) are being automatically redirected to Finsbury Park. I have tried to sort this out with further redirections without success and have now decided to delete Finsbury Park altogether. Before I do so, I must re-route all the people linked to Finsbury Park to their rightful parishes and/or registration districts. This includes Thomas Boulton. On the Hornsey page there will be mention of Finsbury Park, among the numerous neighbourhoods and hamlets that sprung up in what was quite a rural parish at the beginning of the 19th century. BTW, Hornsey did not become part of London until 1965. I hope you will understand my reason for this alteration. --Goldenoldie 14:31, 1 November 2019 (UTC) |
