Is there any foundation for this person? [12 December 2010]

I plan to merge this record with Thomas Bliss (1624-1628) in the same family. I can't find any record of a Thomas Bliss who died in 1637. Note that New London, where this Thomas supposedly died in 1637, was not founded until 1646. This may be a mistaken identity with a different Thomas Bliss (son of Thomas and Margaret (Hulings) Bliss) but since there is virtually no information on him here, it won't matter much which record I merge him with.

Hi Data, You might want to read the discussion on GenForum re: Thomas Bliss and wives, mostly concerning dau Martha Bliss originally thought to be Nathaniel Bliss, but some discussion of the records at Holy Cross church in Daventry is also presented with a supposed burial of a Thomas Bliss in 1635/36. I found Zubrinsky's postings on Martha Bliss and Nathaniel Ide (and will correct WeRelate accordingly, but probably not tonight), but did not see anything about a Thomas buried in 1635/36. Actually it's the Ide Family forum. Thread is "Any Evidence that the 2 Martha's are the same <sic> " I would quote the exact message #, but my browser is acting up; can't open all the messages. The discussion is between Gene Zubrinsky and Jerry Parker. Buried in one of the messages is a referral to a Thomas Bliss buried 1635/36.
