There is much repetition and some incorrect children listed for Rev. Samuel BLACK of Albemarle Co. According to Pioneer Preacher, Samuel and wife Catherine had 7 children:

i. Samuel Jr - m. Mary

ii. James - m. Eleanor

iii. Margaret - m. Samuel PRICE

iv. Mary

v. Sarah

vi. John

vii. William - m. his cousin Mary BLACK d/o Samuel and Jane (Porter) BLACK.
