Person talk:Robert Wynne (9)

Things to do [16 July 2009]

There's an awful lot of information here about the Wynne's. Someone (or someone's) have spent a great of time and effort in gathering information. There are all of the elements needed to craft a very nice article or series of articles about these families. I've spent a small amount of time doing some cleanup, but the data availability for these people would justify considerable more work.

As a note, there are numerous references in this series to "St. Dunstans, Canturbury, Kent, England." as POB's etc. St. Dunstan's is a specific Church in Canturbury (Thomas a Becket is buried here). There may be a "St. Dunstans Parish" as well, but I don't know that. In anycase, when the record is for a Christening, or marriage, or burial, "St. Dunstans, Canturbury, Kent, England" seems appropriate, as this is somthing that would have occurred withn the confiines of the church. However, it is very unlikely that anyone was born in the church per se, so I've changed such entries where I came across them to simply "Canturbury, Kent, England." If there is in fact a St. Dunstan's Parish, then its possible that the full title "St. Dunstans, Canturbury, Kent, England." is correct, but I'd change the entry to "St. Dunstans Parish, Canturbury, Kent, England." to avoid confusion with the church. Some entries do show this form for other parishes. Q 21:11, 16 July 2009 (EDT)
