Person talk:Richard Willard (1)

Text moved from person page. Could be examined whenever someone has the leisure to do it. [12 May 2015]

May have been from Bennenden, county Kent? See NEHGS, volume 51, 1897, p. 261.

Parents may have been Simon Willard and Elizabeth Waterman, but AFN shows mother to have been almost 50 at his birth. Not likely.

Benenden and Horsmonden are less than ten miles apart, so it is possible that the Richard Willard identified in NEHGR 51:261 is identical with this man. However, there appear to have been a number of men by that name in the immediate area. As far as I can tell, no record evidence connects them.--jaques1724 17:41, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
