Children of Peter Jester [16 July 2021]

Based on my fairly extensive research at the Archives in Delaware and at the Old Swedes Church in Wilmington, I don't think there is definitive evidence that this Peter Jester has any relationship to the JUSTIS family of Wilmington. The christening record of 27 July 1784 at Old Swedes Church in Wilmington lists Peter JUSTUS son of John JUSTIS & _______ No mothers name is listed on the original document. Nor does it indicate a name of Peter JESTER Justis as some others have intimated. As of this date, there does not appear to be any DNA link between the two families

In addition, James B(lack) Jester was the first born. His birthdate is 5 June 1838 death death date is 20 June 1862 Ann Jane Jester was born 1 Oct 1840, died 13 Sep 1868. She married Robert Henry Baynard 7 Mar 1861 Pennell Coombe Jester was born 27 Sep 1842 Died 7 Dec 1911. He married Rachel Coolgan Van Trump 24 Jan 1867--Wesj43 16:37, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

I do not think Peter Jester and Peter Justis are the same people either. For one, there is the age discrepancy. Peter Justis b. about 1785 make him about 15 years older then Peter Jester who's Find A Grave at Asbury Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery give a birth date of about 1800. "died November 7, 1852, aged 52 years"
