1634 Planter [11 October 2012]

According to the Winsser article in NEHGR, Trerise was master during the 1634 and 1635 voyages of the Planter. Anderson did not include him as a subject in The Great Migration series and considers him to have been resident in Charlestown in 1636 (Thomas Jenner sketch, GM 2:4:48), although Winsser says he was townsman in Charlestown in Jan 1636, and if that indicates 1635/36, he would have to have been here as a resident by the end of 1635. It seems to me that while he was obviously aboard the Planter in 1634, it was as the ship's master, not as a passenger and he should not be included in that category.--jaques1724 16:40, 11 October 2012 (EDT)
