[add comment] [edit] Time and cause of death [28 July 2014]It was speculated that he may have been involved in WWI, but based on his wife showing status of widowed in 1914 this does not make sense (major US WWI casualties did not start until 1917). There were some military casualties documented in the occupation of Nicaragua and the Mexican Revolution in the proper time frame, but this seems very unlikely. Joseph P. Austin may have had no military involvement whatsoever. No death record could be located in Missouri or Illinois records (as one would expect for living in the St. Louis area).--Ktaustin2 23:53, 28 July 2014 (UTC) |
