John Faulkner Monkhouse (1814-1889), who married 1st Harriet Wyatt should NOT be confused with John Monkhouse (1792-1849), who married Anne Edwards. Both men were born in England and both came to Red River County in the 1840s with their families -- but they are NOT the same person. Probably cousins or uncle/nephew, and probably one migrated to Texas because the other one did. ---Mike^Talk
