death date [20 July 2013]

The death date of 10 Jul 1661 and the burial in Sandwich were removed. These belong to the son John, not to the father. George Allen's letter to Experience Mitchell concerns "thy sister's Son John", i.e., Experience Mitchell's sister Constant's son John Fobes ([1]). We don't know an exact death date for the father, though his inventory was 31 July 1662 and his wife remarried in 1662, so it is assumed to be about 1661. But I haven't seen any evidence that it couldn't be early 1662. --Jrich 11:13, 20 July 2013 (EDT)
