It seems from known records for the immigration and in the will of Johannes that his wife was named Katharina. Many online genealogies include a surname, but none of these that I know of provide source information. His will provides some knowledge on some of his children, but there is stronger evidence for the names of some children than for others. The following are likely the children of Hans, and we can discuss the information available on each.

• Katharina
• Fronaney
• George
• Jacob
• Christopher, often given as Christophel
• John (often called John Varner, Senior as his son was also John)

John Adam, Jacob, and Katharina are evidently children that went to the Piedmont area of North Carolina. Katherine evidently later moved to Ohio. Christopher moved to Maryland. George may have stayed in Pennsylvania.--Parsa 14:50, 17 April 2011 (EDT)
