Why are there duplicate parents? [18 May 2018]
According to the source cited, Johanna is the child of Gerritje Vollemans, so why is Trijntje Groenendijk added as an alternate mother? --GayelKnott 16:24, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
Because according to the marriage on wiewaswie site Trijntje Groenendijk is her mother. You can clear her.--Kdrost 19:07, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for getting back to me. I'm not sure that that the alternate parents should be removed yet. When you have conflicting information from two different records, it's really important to find additional records to resolve the conflict, or at the very least explain why one record is wrong and the other record is correct. --GayelKnott 16:52, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- This says wiewaswie:https://www.wiewaswie.nl/nl/detail/24835844 (daugter from Trijntje Groenendijk)
- This says the website from Delft: http://collectie-delft.nl/nadere-toegangen/trefwoord/akte_custom_is_facet_date_or_year/%5B1900%20TO%201919%5D/q/persoon_voornaam_t_0/johanna/q/persoon_achternaam_t_0/vrijenhoek And this is her bornrecord: http://collectie-delft.nl/nadere-toegangen/q/persoon_voornaam_t_0/johanna/q/persoon_achternaam_t_0/vrijenhoek I think we should make an adjustment.--Kdrost 17:02, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm putting both on the Family page, with a note to suggest that the WieWasWie index is in error, as there is no link to an original image, while the Delft source has an image of the original and therefore is likely to be correct. That way, if there is ever any question about the difference, your preference for the Delft information is explained and there should not be any argument (hopefully). --GayelKnott 20:55, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
