Person talk:James Varker (15)

Can you please tell me what sources you have for this totally inaccurate information on James Henry Varker from?

Sources

Sorry, but I don't remember where I obtained this information on this James Henry Varker. He is my second cousin three-times removed, i.e., his great-grandfather (William Varker, B:1765 in St. Hilary) is my 4th-great-grandfather.

I have another James Henry Varker (B:1867 in Lincolnshire), who is my 5th cousin two-times removed, i.e., his 4th-great-grandfather is my 6th-great-grandfather.

I would really enjoy using WeRelate to share information and research tasks. How are you related to the Varker line? What vital information (more correct) do you have for this James Henry Varker (son of James Varker and Sarah Unknown)?

James is my great grandfather. For starters you have the wrong mother. The birth year is way out, Chelmsford is not in Cornwall nor was he born in Chelmsford and he certainly did not die before 1881.

Can you tell me where you sourced the information for James Henry Varker from then? It is James Henry VARCOE not Varker by then. He was born Sept qtr 1866 not in 1867. As Arabella his wife died before well before 1918 it would have been very difficult for them to marry in 1918.Plus he had remarried

Until I know where you are sourcing your information from and how accurate the rest of it is then I am not willing to add to this site. I hope you understand many years of research by many Varkers have gone into the information I have which is very well documented so I am not prepared to put it on a site I have only just discovered and can't be told where the inaccurate information is sourced from. As a teacher of genealogy I always warn my students to be vary wary of what they discover on the internet as people are too readily happy to accept what they find thinking it is correct without knowing the sources.I will study your website in more detail when I have a little more time and get back to you
