[add comment] [edit] Henry versus Henry Jr. [18 February 2016]NEHGS Register, April 1918, p. 144 says this: Elizabeth [Brooks, dau of Benjamin], b. 24 Feb 1699 m. as his third wife (intention recorded at Springfield 18 Feb 1721) Henry Wright (Abel). Children: Elisha... Sarah... Martin... Henry Wright was married to Sarah Root in 1710/11 and had a child in 1723, plus they both executed a deed in 1727 [Hampden deed E:106]. The Henry Wright that married Elizabeth was called Henry Jr. on the records, and was the son of Benjamin Wright. For example, see Hampden Deed D:469 where Henry Jr. and Elizabeth sell land that was his father Benjamin's. --Jrich 16:47, 18 February 2016 (UTC) [add comment] [edit] baptism [18 February 2016]I removed baptism date of 8 Jun 1677. The NEGHR article gives this as a birth date, not a baptism. This particular article seems poorly researched making several errors just on this one person, and it is too likely to be an erroneous corruption of the real recorded birth date 6 Jan 1677 to suspect there may be an actual basis for it. So unless a source is cited showing it as a baptism, it seems better to ignore it. --Jrich 17:01, 18 February 2016 (UTC) |
