I have the siblings and upline information for this Frederick Goss, although I have not got it posted here yet. It may be fall before I get this particular large gedcom cleaned up and ready to upload. (Economy. Two jobs.) If you are interested in this information, I would be glad to clean up and send relevant sections of the ged to your email over the next few weeks. Then, feel free to upload the information at will. They will be merged anyways. Here are the bare bones basics: Frederick Alfred Goss was the son of Nepthalian Goss (b 1834 Brown Co, IN, d abt 1884 Manes, Wright Co, MO) and Elizabeth Young (b abt 1835, IN, d 1884 Manes, Wright Co, MO). Nep Goss was the son of Frederick R. Goss (b 1783 Rowan[Davidson]Co, NC d 1873 Wright Co, MO) and Kariam/Carrie Sandy (b 1792 NC, d 1852, Wright Co, MO). There are mentions of Nep Goss (and a goodly number of his cousins and uncles) at the free online Goodspeed's for a number of the so MO counties. Tiny url: http://tinyurl.com/d3j5 Well-searchable, the format can be confusing. Frederick R. was the son of Jacob Goss (b 1763 Rowan[Davidson]Co, NC, d 1834 Davidson Co, NC) and Phebe Giles (b abt 1760 Rowan{Davidson]Co, NC, d bef Aug 1853, Davidson Co, NC). I have more info on the upline and extended families, but I'm too lazy to type it out tonight.... Frederick Alfred Goss' siblings were: Josiah b 1855 Sarah b abt 1856 Ruth b abt 1858 Melissa b abt 1859 Thomas b 1860 Rhoda b 1864 Jesse b abt 1867 Mary b abt 1869 Charlotte b abt 1871 Hiram Newton b 1876 I am descended from a sister Jacob Goss (1763, m Phebe Giles), so I have not personally checked out every date and detail for the downline of Frederick and Kariam, but many come from a researcher I trust, and who freely shares. I have worked much more on the upline. But I have several related surnames in the Webster/Wright/Douglas cluster of counties, and have researched a lot of Gosses in the area, since they often lead to my related families. I have yet to run across a Goss b bef 1920 who was not related in some way to these lines. |
