Robinson sisters [20 July 2011]
Thanks for catching that error, daughter->granddaughter. I had realized my error while working on Abigail's page, and forget to go back and clean it up.
However, there were two granddaughters mentioned: "Jemima and Elizabeth Robinson", not one. Birth records show Abigail had daughters of both names. The use of the word "guardians" suggests Esther was not the guardian for Jemima, but who her guardian was is not specified. --Jrich 18:43, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
- Should always check my facts before I post. Sigh. Old Families of Salisbury and Amesbury first convinced there were two, causing me to reread the abstract in Seven Gen. of Chase, and deciding that was the correct interpretation. I thought I had found the birth records, but can't relocate them now, so maybe I am getting mixed up with some other Chase family. --Jrich 19:10, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
- I'd really like to see a cleaner transcription than the one provided by Chase and Chamberlain. Smith and Sanborn (Samuel Blanchard Ordway) cite the probate but do not give any detail at all.--jaques1724 19:12, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
- Yes sometimes, the whole enchilada is desirable. One would think the FHL must have it on microfilm. One other fact to throw out is the marriage of Jemima Robinson and Benjamin Williams in Newbury in 1736. --Jrich 19:28, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
